Due to the lack of rain and the warmer temperatures in our area our Park’s Lake has developed a larger than normal algal bloom. Our Lake’s condition was discussed at the Wednesday Operational Board Meeting.

We contacted The Lake Doctor, the contractor that manages Swan Lake on a monthly basis, after the meeting. The Lake Doctor came out on Thursday, 4/30, and treated the Lake to help reduce the algal bloom.

You will also notice that the fountains, which act as aerators for the Lake, will be running 24 hours a day. The round the clock operation of the aerators during this drought will help to improve the health of the Lake.

The rain forecasted for Saturday would be another factor that would help to resolve this issue!
